A programme designed around your body, your goals, and your life

I'm worried about hurting myself
That concern is the most common thing we hear. And it is a valid one. The answer is that almost nothing in your medical history stops you from doing resistance training safely when it is designed and overseen by someone with Dr Rutland's clinical experience. Every movement in every session is guided, controlled, and appropriate to your current ability. We do not push. We progress.
I'm not a gym person
Good, because DRV is not a gym. It is a private studio where the only person there is you, your trainer, and at most two or three other clients. There is no equipment you do not understand and no one comparing themselves to you.
I've tried before and it never stuck
Because no one asked you what you actually wanted to achieve and built a plan around that. When you have a specific goal, a doctor-designed programme, and a trainer who guides every session, it is a fundamentally different experience.
I'm not sure I'm fit enough to start
This is the most natural concern of all, and also the most common reason people put it off. The truth is that the Fit for Life Programme is designed for exactly where you are right now, not where you think you should be. There is no minimum level of fitness required. Your onboarding call with Dr Rutland exists precisely to understand your current state and build a plan around it. You do not need to get ready to start. Starting is how you get ready.
I'm not sure it will make a difference at my age
The evidence says it will. Resistance training builds muscle, protects bone density, improves balance, and supports cognitive function at any age. And Dr Rutland's own transformation, at 64, after serious illness, is the clearest proof available that age is not the limiting factor. Starting is.
